It's been a busy week; so busy in fact that I forgot to work out the last couple days. Literally forgot. It didn't even cross my mind.
It's amazing how you can go from working out six days a week for a full five weeks, and then taking off a little over a week due to injury can throw you completely off.
Luckily, I had my Beachbody coach there to check in with me and ask how I've been doing, and it's helped me stay on track.
Accountability and support: #1 reason I love that I got involved with Beachbody. I'm a coach now myself, BTW, so if you're ever interested in learning more, let me know.
Much of this week's time was taken up by two things: my latest obsession (the new Whole Foods that opened up much too conveniently close to my house), and my new podcast.
As exciting as all of this is, it's caused me to abruptly and unknowingly rearrange my schedule; gazing at the interesting and unique items available at the Whole Foods sets my soul on fire, hundreds of potential flavor combinations and recipes pinging away in my brain. I'm constantly on the lookout for events and happenings to talk about on the HoCo Life podcast and making mental notes when I get an idea for a topic.
Returning to PiYo, as difficult as it was after a few days' worth of Whole Foods indulgences like baguettes, croissants, and gelato whoopie pies, has helped bring me back around and ground me. When life changes quickly (for example, I only found out about the podcast 24 hours before we recorded it), it's easy to get swept up in the excitement and novelty and forget our original path.
And PiYo is my path; it's become a daily reminder of the goal of this blog and the bigger all-around goal for myself: to live a healthy, happy life, balancing the healthy decisions with the not-so-healthy ones.
So back to Buns we came today; it was challenging - that second croissant yesterday didn't exactly fill my energy tank with Premium - but I got through it, modified where necessary, and before I knew it, that clock was down to 00:00.
Daily goal: Accomplished. Long-term goal: One step closer.
