PiYo Day 45: Core

Welcome to Labor Day Weekend!

For me, this has meant starting a very important hot dog tasting bracket, eating lots of Entenmann's chocolate frosted donuts, and binge watching Once Upon a Time (they just released the third season on Netflix!).

It also meant forcing myself to work out today.

Sous Chef has no problem filling his days off of work with meaningful projects, running errands, and getting lots of stuff checked off of his to-do list. I, on the other hand, use my holidays to go off the wagon - though not as much as I used to, that's for sure.

I'm learning to balance; to eat a couple of donuts but not the whole box. To binge watch my favorite guilty pleasure shows but still make myself get up and move around and even work out. To be disciplined, but to let myself cut loose every now and then.

I am confident that when work starts again tomorrow, I'll slip right back into my routine. I'll get up, work out, drink my Shakeology, go to work, and come home. I'll keep going, and I won't get off track. Well, at least not for long.

Now please excuse me while I go back to fairytale land and munch on a really good hot dog.

  1. So I googled piyo strength intervals to see if anyone else was spazzy and uncoordinated with it and it brought me here! I am part of a motivational group...whatever that is, for piyo and all the women are like "woo! Yea! I kicked that workouts ass now ima go eat a carrot for dinner" so needless to say I found your literary voice refreshing ..keep writing so I can keep reading :)
