#Gratituesday: 70

During WWII, my grandfather was a Marine. He fought in the Battle of Guadalcanal. He contracted malaria and was sent home to die.

Instead, he decided to life happily ever after.

Yesterday, he and my grandmother celebrated 70 years of marriage.

Now that is something to be grateful for.

Yesterday, I texted Grandpa (yes, he is super cool like that) and he told me his secret to seventy years of marriage: 

give the wife what she wants.

In this case, it was a chocolate mousse cake.

Congratulations, Grandma and Grandpa. You're an inspiration.

Now go eat more cake.
