When All Else Fails...Give Me Chocolate

Question: What's even better than receiving a box full of free chocolate in the mail on the last day of the first week of school, when you are exhausted, stressed out, and ready to collapse?

Answer: When your husband comes home that very night from a business trip to San Francisco and gives you your present - more chocolate!

(This is one of those cases where not telling your husband everything that is going on in your life [i.e., "Ghirardelli is going to send me some free chocolate later this month"] actually pays off!)

That's right, my friends.  As part of the FoodBuzz Tastemaker Program, I get to sample some of Ghirardelli's newest varieties of "Intense Dark" chocolate: 72% Cacao Twilight Delight, 86% Cacao Midnight Reverie, and Sea Salt Soiree.  My package even came with a little booklet that included food and wine pairings to go along with the chocolate, so I picked up some of those goodies at the grocery store today.  We're going to do our official tasting a little later this evening, but I've already sampled one of the 86% Midnight Reverie squares.  It was excellent!  Smoky and dark - I bet it'll go great with a glass of red wine!
