Festive Mood

With all the craziness and stress that the start of the school year brings, when I take a moment to stop and look around, I actually have many things to celebrate:

1)  I gave away a great cookbook to a reader.






2)  Elizabeth over at Act Fast Chef featured my Tomatillo Tortilla Soup recipe in her "Yummy Finds" Friday post.

3)  FoodBuzz announced that I am the winner of the Sabra Featured Recipe trip to the 2011 FoodBuzz Festival in San Francisco!!!!

That's right, friends, I WON!!  They are going to fly me out to the Festival and put me up at a hotel.  I get to attend all of the events that weekend and they are even going to serve my winning appetizer at the cocktail party on Friday night!  How cool is that?!

The best part about the timing of all of this is that I got the email telling me I won on the same day that I completed my 100 Miles in 100 Days goal.  I had literally just returned from walking my last two miles when the email popped up on my screen.  Now that's what I call a GOOD DAY!

I am beyond excited about this opportunity; I'm going to get the chance to learn from and network with lots of other bloggers, try some great food, and see San Francisco for the first time!
