1. My Daddy brought me peaches. He visited my grandparents in Washington state a couple weeks ago, and he brought back peaches. Peaches too good to make into a salsa. Or a cobbler. Peaches you just had to eat. I called him on Sunday to thank him and tell him how wonderful they were, and he said, "They were picked from the tree on Thursday." My heart skipped a beat. He must really love me.
2. I passed my real estate exam. Well, at least the first part. I still have to sit for the state exam to get my license, but the hardest part is over. As a result of my newly-recovered free time, I have re-devoted myself to getting healthy. I've really let myself slip over the past few months while I took this pre-licensing course. Haven't been working out. Have only been eating healthy about half of the time. And I can feel it. I am sore and swollen everywhere, especially my back. I haven't had a pain-free day in over a month.
3. What's my health and fitness goal? I want to be able to dance like Beyoncé. Not necessarily out in public, but I want to be able to turn up her music at home and shake my prolific booty without slipping a disc. I will start off easy, with moves like this. But one day, mark my words, I will achieve this.
4. Speaking of making healthier choices, I've replaced Candy Crush with Farm Heroes. I figure that playing this game will subconsciously encourage me to eat more fruits and veggies. Kind of like subliminal advertising without brand names. I tell you, these veggies are just so darn cute. Almost too cute to eat. But not quite.
5. Have I mentioned I'm writing this as I am laying on the ground, icing my back because last weekend I had the audacity to walk 2.5 miles and have been paying for it ever since? This. Must. End.
