Oof - way to jump back in after a rest day, eh? Let's get right back into it with Sweat!
I was able to get through the whole workout in one sitting today (though of course there was no "sitting" involved!); the last time I did Sweat, I had to stop when there were about ten minutes left because my legs and back were so fatigued that I worried that if I continued, my core would go to shit and I'd throw out my back.
Better safe than face down on the ground!
Today, I started out kind of rocky; I woke up feeling dried out and sort of...hungover. I didn't drink last night, but I might have made this and eaten enough that my teeth hurt from all the sugar. Definitely enough to wipe my energy this morning.
I accepted the fact that this was going to be tougher because of my choice last night, and I moved on. After all, what good does it do to continue to punish yourself? No good at all, that's what.
Onward and upward.
By the halfway point, I was well into the groove. And YoDo (Yoga + her nickname, "DoDo") was there to help me along the way, even more than usual - checking in and rolling around and scooting closer right when I needed it. I swear I'm not a crazy cat lady. I swear.
Today, I was not only able to lift my leg off the ground in down dog splits, but I was able to pulse it a bit, too. And though Warrior 3/three-point balance still feels like someone is sticking my ass with a hot poker (but, you know, in a good way), it's getting a little easier each time.
Getting easier leads to less modifications which leads to getting harder which leads to getting stronger which leads to getting easier...
The circle of PiYo.
Onward and upward.
