1. Horchata ice cream. Um, OKAY. Twist my arm if you have to. I'd really like to make this - I've been wanting horchata ever since we came back from Mexico.

2. And then these chilaquiles popped up in my blog feed, and I remembered that I've been wanting chilaquiles ever since we came back from Mexico, too.

4. I just want all the horchata and chilaquiles, okay?

5. I started to get really weirded out by all the Mexican recipes coming out right now - I thought that maybe society had finally somehow spontaneously synced with my consciousness and never-ceasing craving for Mexican food, and then it occurred to me: Cinco de Mayo, yo. Oh well; it was nice to be the center of the universe for a millisecond.

6. Spiced lentils with poached eggs. Sous Chef and I are always on the lookout for more things on which to place a poached egg. We've done salads and asparagus and toast and rice but never lentils. I'm loving the Indian spices in this one, too.

7. Iron Chef America is on Netflix now. The only thing that could have made Iron Chef better? No commercials. And now it's here. I love you, Netflix. I love you, secret ingredients. I love you, corny reality show banter.
