The Turkey Dance

Go to anyone's house this Thanksgiving, and each person will have a Role.  A Purpose.  A very important Duty.  Through the years, families carve out (pun intended, as always) functions for each person: Turkey Carver.  Pie Baker.  Eggnog Drinker.  Uncomfortable Comment-Maker.  Turkey Dancer.

What?  No one in your family is the appointed Turkey Dancer?  You don't even know what the Turkey Dance is?  Let me demonstrate for you in my first-ever blog video:

You see now.  The Turkey Dance.  Very important.  And maybe a little sadistic.  But I believe it is also the reason our turkey is so tasty every year.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Gobble well.

  1. A message from Ella, age 7: "Dear Mrs. B.-, Your turkey dance is great. I think we should do one next year, but this year guess what? My dad did not explode cooking ours!" Happy Thanksgiving! (-:
