So I sweat and sweat and sweat. Through June, July, August, and part of September. But suddenly, there comes a night when I am perfectly comfortable - maybe even a bit chilly. My feet happily slumber in their cushioned haven and I pull the quilt closer around my shoulders. I might even badger the Sous Chef to spoon me to keep me warm. The cats, who spent the hot summer avoiding bodily contact with us as much as possible, are spontaneously atop my body, curled up and sleeping soundly. Both of them, like furry little hot water bottles.
Suddenly, it's Fall.
My favorite time of year, with my favorite kind of recipes. Cinnamon. Nutmeg. Pumpkin. Root vegetables. Smoky mushrooms. Caramelized anything.
Here's a list of all of my fall recipes; I hope the crisp air, falling leaves, and shorter days inspire you to try a few.
