- I love Instagram. Find me (thebaremidriff) and follow me if you wish to see random pictures of food, cats, nature, and the like. And one or two of the Sous Chef, like this one where I called him "my new standing mixer":
I'm so glad he loves me, because I am a little bit odd. - I am almost finished with season 2 of Downton Abbey. All we've got left is the Christmas episode. I could have watched it during the day today, but I decided to wait for the Sous Chef so we could watch it together if and only if we get off of our lazy butts and go to the gym.
If Downton doesn't get us to the gym, I'm not sure what will. - I am currently rediscovering the music of Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, and Alanis Morissette. I am also feeling a strange desire to stop shaving my legs and commune with other females as we explore our inner power. I'm not sure if there's a correlation.
- I am planning to prepare a meal I saw in the latest Food Network Magazine, which features bacon as an ingredient in every course - even dessert. Shhhh! Don't tell the Sous Chef; it's a surprise!
- On a side note, I'm considering giving up animal products. This is why. I freakin' love baby animals. I was driving to a friend's house yesterday and passed a field where at least a dozen baby lambs were frolicking around with their mothers, their fat little baby woolly butts bouncing around the grass. I got so excited that I started squealing and shouting "Wittle Wambs!! Wittle Wambs!!"
I really don't think I'm supposed to eat meat. - I love bacon.
